Run with the others for the tunnel

You run with the other mujaheddin, sprinting across the sand for the tunnel. The Hind closes in on you, and fires its guns at the sitting ducks running in the open. The first burst of fire downs a few of your allies in front of you, but you keep running. You can hear the sounds of the Hind behind you, along with gunfire and death screams. You can see the tunnel, and almost make it to it when the Soviet helicopter fires its rocket pods.
You are caught in the series of blasts, and fall to the ground, lifeless. You are one of the many Afghans killed during the Soviet campaign, and you do not live long enough to see the Soviet's defeat one month later.
