Run out of the room!

At first you dart out of the room, adrenaline pumping, but as you hit the stair case you force yourself to stay calm.
I don't know where I am, I don't know if I'm safe or not, I'm going to have to keep my cool if I'm going to get through this. Come on, self! Relax!
You take a few deep breaths and start observing your surroundings as you begin to creep down the stairs. It's a wooden staircase surrounded on either side by stone walls. Metal brackets have been placed into the walls to hold small torches.
Where am I, Middle Earth?
You come to the base of this flight of stairs. The stairs continue down. There's also an archway to your left.
