You make a break for the far bank, pounding across the boards as they tumble and plunge into the rapid water. At the last minute, the bridge dissolves and you must jump...
But as you leap and the bridge breaks and twists, the boards rise up and catch you mid-air, winding you. You grab one of the ropes to help you slow your fall, and half-scrambling, half-tumbling, you are dumped into the water without too much injury.
You splash through the water to the other side and come up, dripping. You are in one piece – but your clothes and backpack are soaked through. And there is no turning back. Something moves in the bushes nearby.
