Pull out the parking lot against Melanie's wishes

Melanie slumps back into her seat, defeated looking, as you pull back out into the street. With no idea where you're going, you drive through the storm and the surrounding violence, trying to sort out your next move. Nothing looks safe, and every building and lot you pass seems to have suffered from the effects of a populace gone mad.

You glance over to ask Melanie what her thoughts are, and find that's sleeping quietly. Unsure of what to do next, you drive on, from street to street, looking for someplace that might stick out as a bit more reliable than others. You never find it.

You eventually get so tired, having been up for so long, that you pass out at the wheel. Luckily, your foot falls off the gas and you slowly idle into a parked car. You both awaken just after the impact, air bags deployed into your faces.

As you struggle to get free of your belts and escape the car, Melanie seems quite confused and unaware as she sleepily tries to put two and two together. She never gets a chance, and you don't get a chance to explain. A horde of shadows have heard the impact, and close in on the car. Dozens of hands reach in and drag you both from the car, and over the next few hours, they rape you both in the streets, over and over, before finally cutting both your throats and leaving you to die.

Your indecision has cost you. Perhaps you should have listened to your friend.
