Piggy's Day/Go around the mountain

You follow the edge of the mountain for half an hour, and make it to the other side. Here, you start traversing the mountain vertically, and make it to the mouth of the correct cave.
Captain: "From here on I'll have to lead the way."
You enter a large, dark network of caves, a description that actually fits Hell in its entirety quite well. There are only three intersections before the chasm of giant skeletons, but on the last one you find something surprising.
Captain: "Oh my. There are only two caves here, but the map said there were three! Which one of these is the middle one?"
Piggy: "Who cares? We know this is the last intersection. If we find more caves, we know we've gone the wrong way, and can just turn back."
Captain: "Alright then. Which tunnel should we try first?"
