You reach under the flowers in your basket and pull out two small black books. Slipping one into a small pocket in your jacket you take out the other one and lay it down on the table where Erybelle is already mixing herbs into a potion for one of your customers. You're so lucky to have a friend like Erybelle, you think to yourself, you just don't know what you would do without her clumsy but cheerful attitude to perk you up. You'd probably have done something terrible by now.
Taking your seat next to her you smile and wave at your first customer of the day as she leaves. It's a kind young girl not much older than yourself, she comes every morning for a new potion in hopes that it will make the blacksmith's assistant who lives down the road like her. You don't think that it will work out but you try to support her regardless. That's your job you see, you and Erybelle sit every morning under this willow tree and sell love potions or give advice, sort of play matchmakers. Opening your notebook on the table you jot a few notes next to the customer's name. This book is where you write down all the couples, otherwise known as ships, that you and Erybelle support. The two of you keep track of them and use your talents to give them a little push in the right direction.
The sun is coming up fully now and business is really starting to soar. So far you and Erybelle have helped two women and a man with their love lives and the bakery hasn't even open yet. Looking into your basket you notice you're running a bit low on cat mint...
