Malinovyĭ: Help Aelita to recuperate while the other place the flag on the rock

From Create Your Own Story

You lift Aelita´s arm over your shoulder. "I´ll look after Aelita, you guys can go and put the flag in place," you tell them.

"Sound decision Mikhail," Sergey states, but without much emotion. "Kerim, roll out the rover. It will take us there faster."

"Yes professor," Kerim says and quickly fetches one of the spaceships automobile then drives it out onto the planet.

Yamuna and Sergey enters it. "We will return after putting the flag on that rock. Then we´ll start with the mission." Sergey says, and then they´ll swiftly drive off.

You help Aelita back onto the spaceship, and out of her spacesuit. You then sit her down on the plastic couch of the dining table. "Wait here, I´ll bring you some coffee," you tell her.

You fix the coffee, not thinking much while you do so. But when you walk over to her and offer it to the young woman she seems to be reluctant to accept. Aelita shakes her head, and won´t look you in the eye. The rejection doesn't bother you, just youthful stubbornness to pull one's own weight before fully understanding the rules of space, nothing new to you. Knowing that she can´t resist the coffee for long you poke her shoulder with the cup one time.

"Uhh... thanks," she says and grabs the cup.

"First space-leap I presume?" you ask her.

"Yes, I´m not good at hiding it clearly," She says and takes a sip of the liquid.

"Everyone reacts to a space-leap differently. And don´t worry, it´s gets a lot easier when you´ve done it a couple of times."

Despite your words embarrassment seems to flood over her. "I bet you´re barely effected by it."

You shrug your shoulders, "yes, that´s why they made me a pilot I guess."

Aelita takes another sip from the coffee. "Listen, you don´t have to watch over me. I´m already feeling better. Tell you what, there is a lake not far from here. Why don´t you start with the mission prematurely and go look if there is any indigenous life forms on this planet?"

The young woman emotions are clear. She feels no ill-will or anger that you´ve decided to watch over her. She´s just doesn't want to be a bother to you and pull her own weight. You´d doubt she would be disappointed if you sat down and had a conversation.
