“Is there anything going on right now?” You ask your mom.

“You mean besides your father's case?” Your mom answers. “It's such a strange thing... a man who murdered his entire family. The poor thing was delirious when they caught him too. I saw the whole arrest on television... said that it's not his fault. That he's a million years old and that he couldn't take it anymore. The man was only 34 years old...”

You nod. What a bizarre story. “Anything else around town?” You ask.

“Hmm... there's the parade down town. I wanted to go, but everyone's just so busy.” Your mom goes on to note construction on streets and other unimportant things. “There's that new movie out too! It looks amazing.” Your mother chimes.

You nod on until your mother finishes speaking and quietly thinks to herself. You could ask her more things or finish speaking to her. Do you:
