You get in contact with a woman, a writer, who lives in a decent apartment. She says the place is too big for just her and she's looking for someone to take up some of the space. She says she doesn't mind if you don't pay rent as long as you take care of the apartment and act as her assistant periodically.
So, you move in, and take up the role of keeping the place clean, and while you don't talk to her very often, she does periodically ask you to run nearby errands, screen phone calls. When you do these things for her, she pays you a little, and with your free time you do little things here and there to make money.
Today is a quiet day. She's doing research in her room, you're relaxing on the couch.
