You step out of the crowd and approach the young officer.

"Evening, Officer," you say.

"Can I help you, sir?" she asks. "I'm a little preoccupied at the moment."

"Just wanted to mention that I couldn't help noticing that your uniform is a little tight," you say.

"It shrank in the wash," she says. "If that's all you have to say, please move along, sir. There should be an ambulance along any second now."

"It looks really good on you," you say.

"Thank you," she says. "Move along."
