What the heck, life is short. You head over to the mixer.
The instant you walk in, two of the older ladies catch your eye. The tall, slim woman with the regal aura turns out to be named Melanie. The shorter, plumper woman with the soulful eyes that draw you in turns out to be named Valerie. Both have white hair and are in their late 50's.
Chatting them up, they're both very good-natured. Melanie is an executive secretary, and Valerie is a retired schoolteacher.
