"Hello, Margaret," you say coolly. You and Lyssa have been friends for years and you've spent a lot of time at Margaret's house.
"Hello yourself," she says. "I don't mind your sexual preference, but shouldn't you be in a bedroom if you're going to... play?"
"Just testing the merchandise, Mom," Gillian replies. "We all helped prep dinner."
"I don't believe you know Melony," you say. "Melony, meet Gillian's mom Margaret. Margaret, meet my girlfriend Melony."
"Delighted to meet you," Margaret says. "I'm hungry. Did you make extra?"
"Yes, we did," Gillian says. "I wouldn't not feed you, Mom."
Margaret laughs. Dinner is excellent and the conversation is pleasant.
"Lyssa's out for the evening," Gillian says after dinner. "I know she has some toys. Should we use her room?"
