The preacher continues to smile when you demand to know why you're making a mistake.

"Why would I want to kill myself?" he asks.

You stare at him, confused. "I don't understand..." you begin to say.

"And why would I make my presence known to mortals? Granted, those two were not mere mortals, but that's not the point," the preacher continues. "You've been fooled. Somebody wants me gone. Go back to that house and claim you've killed me. I'll handle it from there."
