You browse for items worth buying within the merchant's huts. Your attention is taken by a few finely woven articles of clothing, finely crafted weapons and provisions for sale. The merchant rushes up to you, seeing you interest. You nod to him.
The merchant smiles. "Is there anything I can help you with?"
"Is there any work to be had here? I need to earn some money," you reply.
The merchant sizes you up. "You look like a good worker to me. One of my friends needs some digging doing. I'm sure she would pay you and feed you for it."
"Digging what?" you ask.
The merchant shifts uncomfortably, carefully wrapping away his merchandise as he talks, as if expecting you to steal something. "Does it matter? You'll find out." He stares at you.
"So?" he asks. He looks over his shoulder at the path. "I'm going that way now myself. You coming?"
