You spot a large, simple mirror on the wall and hesitantly make your way over to it. Peering into its reflective surface, you find yourself looking into the face of someone you don’t recognize. You immediately notice that same crimson color from the floor soaked through a small part of the sheet. Pulling your left arm from beneath the stained fabric, you are stunned to find dried blood coating your forearm and trails of it down to your fingers. Wondering what other strange things you might find, you turn back to studying the mirror. You warily turn your head to the side and look more closely at the reflection. You find yourself quite taken with the face that is both so foreign and your own. Your hair is a dark brown, just long enough to barely brush your shoulders. Eyes of clear blue are set above a slender nose mottled with subdued freckles. A greenish bruise wraps around from your left brow to the cheekbone, which you hesitantly trace with a trembling finger.
The sudden dimming and flickering of the lights pulls your attention from the mirror, and you watch the hanging fixture as it buzzes into darkness for a moment before retaining its glow. Realizing you may soon be in the dark, you decide to focus on finding a way out of the room.
