Drink some fizzing purple potion

You pick up the beaker with the fizzing purple potion and take a sip. The purple potion bubbles on its way down your throat and your ears pop off and shoot across the room. You don't hear anything after the pop, because you don't have any ears. You put down the beaker and put your hands on your head, where your ears used to be. You scream but you don't hear it.
Then you hiccup and new ears sprout out of your head. You're back to normal.
