After rereading the telegram twice you hand over the paper to Dawkins. He bows and leaves you alone to think.
Nothing in the text implied any sense of danger. Dr Frinks even wrote “may be necessary” like if your attendance weren’t essential at all. It’s quite gutsy to demand the attention of an elite Vampire slayer over a simple “may be.”
Feeling a bit tired you close your eyes and think back to your spring years, to the day you meet Philius Frinks. He was around twenty when you first meet him and you were only fourteen. You vividly remember his jet black hair and a bad posture, truly a man with no social skills at all. Yet a genius in the science community, truly without equal. He was also fully aware of the evil that lurks in the shadows, which is why your father requested his aid when he had to unravel the mystery of Dr Jekyll and Mister Hyde.
The fact that he is a man of science further complicates the task. He lives in an world outside holy God and the Devil. Although you do not deny the value of science a scientist stands outside the grace of God, naked to the perils of darkness. Such a man can never truly be trusted.
