"So...", you say simultaneously. The synchronicity makes you laugh, and after a moment's hesitation, Julianne falls in. That seems to have broken the ice. To your own surprise, you are able to tell her freely that the circumstances just make you lose your inhibitions, that it was a 'spur of the moment'-thing, and your behavior was driven by your instincts. Julianne knew what you were doing - of course she knew. But given that she had experienced what she paraphrases as a long dry spell, she not only tolerated your hand on her thigh, but caught some of the excitement herself. She even allows for questions, and since you keep it decent, also answers them sincerely, although somewhat vague. Your dad's ran off with another woman a long time ago, and apparently, Julianne did not actively pursue sexual interests other than an occasional encounter.
Wow. This is the first time your mum ever told you something related to her love life. You feel much closer to her. You wish you could talk about so many more things right now, but Julianne reminds you that you need to get up fairly early. Time to take the shower and go to bed. Who goes first - you or your mum?
