You grab a cigarette from the table and pull a lighter out of your shirt pocket. A flick, a big puff, a big cloud of smoke, and a big sigh.
"What the hell.. this was NOT how I expected my day to pan out when I woke up this morning," you start, "I wonder if we're the only ones who have been attacked."
"Must be." says Jane, before taking a big gulp of water. "At least the only ones in this city. Otherwise the cops would know what we're talking about".
You nod, and take another drag of your cigarette in unison with Hugo.
Then out of nowhere you hear a gunshot go off in the precinct, followed by shrill screams from both men and women.
