It's hard to focus when your leg is bleeding enough to fill a bathtub and a thousand kilo beast is dragging you down along rough dirt in the middle of the night, but despite this you manage to muster enough strength to violently beat the reptile's tough face.

You must've somehow managed to hit a sore spot on the nose, because it eased its grip just enough for you to pull your leg out and crawl away. Unfortunately, the leg was too damaged for you to run, and the animal wasn't nearly damaged enough to give the chase up. It catches you within seconds, and this time you lack the energy to fight. You're killed and devoured on the spot.
