Chase after the shadow

You tell your friend "I'm sorry but I can't let the killer that did that to you escape. Don't worry the paramedics will get there in time." You knew the words were hollow words to someone fighting for the last bit of life they had left but the killer had to be stopped now to prevent more deaths.

As you chase after the shadow you frantically fire the pistol. Most of the shots missed but eventually one struck the leg of the shadow. As you move closer you get struck with a ninja star in the throat.

Your final action before you fall to the ground and bleed to death is shoot your assailant between the eyes.

You die a hero but at the cost of your own life and possibly your friend's life.
