You throw up a forcefield around yourself, but the Spirit only laughs. “Do you believe that such a physical barrier can protect you from me? Please think again.” The smoke swirls up more thickly. “Weak one. You cannot escape the Spirit of Mananka!” The face is now weeping smoke-tears of laughter. “I tell you your mission is cursed!”
You stare in horror as the smoke contracts and disappears inside the box. You wonder at the curse, but there is nothing you can do, and you feel it already. A fragility – as if the slightest touch could bruise you, and the gentlest blow could cut you deep. It is as if your skin has been turned from leather into water, and your bones from iron into pulp. Worst of all, you feel as though you have lost your sex drive altogether!
You will have to continue carefully until you can find a way to lift the curse.
