Bite the tentacle on your wrist

You tug your wrist up to your face and bite down on the tentacle. The tentacle is too rubbery for your teeth to damage it and it doesn’t taste good, either. More tentacles wrap around your waist and whatever creature they’re attached to drags you out to sea. You glance back at the hunk. He’s clearly unaware of your predicament and after a minute, he’s no longer in sight.
You struggle with the tentacles, but they’re too strong for you to break free. After several minutes, you come within sight of a wooden sailing ship flying a skull-and-crossbones flag. The creature pulls you up alongside the ship. You’re about to yell for help when a rope drops down to you, slapping against the side of the ship.
