You nod to the creatures. "I need to be going." And make to step away – but they close up in front of you. The leader points her sword up towards your face.
"This valley belongs to the Elvin," she says. "Scoundrels and western men cannot be trusted. You would take advantage of us." The Elvin woman puts particular emphasis on this last part.
"My only desire is to find the Codpiece of Kings," you lie.
"Is that so?" the creature replies, raising the sword closer in an aggressive stance. "We do not believe you. You have come to defile me and my sisters." You get the sense that she hopes this to be the case more than she actually believes it.
