Ask Tony what his plans are now
From Create Your Own Story
You linger by the bar instead of heading out, the midday heat rolling in through the open sides. Tony’s already off the clock, white vest clinging lightly to his chest. At six-three, broad and muscular, he looks like he belongs in the sun — long black dreadlocks tied back, yellow shorts bright against his dark skin.
“So,” you say, nodding toward the beach, “what’re you up to now?”
Tony follows your glance outside, squinting slightly. “Honestly? I’m heading down the coast.” He looks back at you, calm but direct. “Got an old rowing boat pulled up not far from here. Was gonna take it out to the caves and spend the afternoon there.”
“The caves?” you ask. “Sounds nice .”
“They are,” he says with an easy smile. “Quiet. Shaded. No crowds.” He pauses, then adds, clearly now, “You should come with me, if you’re free? ”
“It’s warm,” he continues, gesturing toward the glare of the beach. “Perfect time to be out on the water. hang out, swim if you want. Just a chilled afternoon.” His eyes stay on yours.
You picture it — the sun, the water, the cool shadow of stone caves. Tony beside you.
Behind you, the main beach is still wide open — music drifting on the breeze, laughter spilling from the shoreline, bodies moving through sun and salt and possibility. You could wander down there, let the afternoon surprise you, see what — or who — the day still has waiting.
Do you
