The quinceanera idea originated from witches. All witches are required to have a magical party when they turn 15 before their first magical trial. After this they will be considered half-witches who must train and learn her newly obtained powers.
On their birthday at midnight, the witching hour a witch will transform into whatever form they are at heart which is judged in a strange quiz-like arena. In this arena they must use all their skills and knowledge they have learned so far to complete this. They also get their full powers that come from whichever type they will become after the trial.
Every witch comes from Hispanic blood but when they turn 15 they appear anyway they want and can customize their appearance and voice. This is a witch’s mechanism to destroy all relationships with anybody who is not from the magical side of the world.
At this party they meet their witch family for the first time and must be kept with the human Goth side. After that turning point your voice and looks won't change again unless you find the legendary spell\ritual\potion (Nobody actually knows which one it is because nobody has actually found it).
