Kara sits down between the two of you, but closer to you than Adam, you can't help but notice. Adam starts the latest horror flick to come out on DVD and within minutes the jump-scares have begun. You aren't really phased by scary movies, but it is fun, so you're having a good time when you feel Kara's hand slip into yours.
You're very surprised. She doesn't do much with it, though, except for squeezing it when a terrifying image comes on the screen. You figure she just needs to hold onto something, and you're certainly the most stable person in the room.
