You get in your car and drive to a hotel. You call Lisa and call it all off. She begs and pleads with you to take her back, but you hold your ground and hang up. Katie calls you and apologizes and says Lisa came onto her. You actually believe her and tell her not to worry. You go back to your old apartment and Lisa is at the door. You walk past her without a word and slam the door in her face. She bangs on the door and you call the cops. You cite her for trespassing and harassment and the cops take her away. You call Katie and invite her over to talk. She obliges and comes over with a bottle of wine. Maybe it was the wine or the sadness or something else entirely, but you kiss Katie and she kisses you back. This can't happen you think, but then it does. You wake up the next morning in bed with Katie. She opens the door to leave and Lisa is standing there with the same look on her face that you had just 12 hours earlier. Revenge is sweet.
You and Katie don't work out as a couple since she is gay, but every so often you both get together for a little fun. Lisa moves away to another state and that is that. Your programming job is going well and you work your way up the ladder. Within five years, you are almost at the top and earning six figures. You move into a nice house and start seeing a new girl you met at your local cafe. Her name is Ella and she is from Canada. You take it slow with this one and really get to know her. She is a fashion designer that started her own business when she was 18 and is now making more than you are. You admire her work ethic, her talent, and her humble nature. Her family is very sweet and loving. She has a younger sister named Tina that is very nice. If you had met Tina first, you probably would have gone after her. After dating for three years, you and Ella decide the time is right and get married. You have twins, a boy and girl. You take less hours at the office and try your hardest to be an excellent father.
They grow up to be wonderful people, and you and Ella stay together until she passes away at 75 from skin cancer. You get to see your grandchildren grow but have to bury your son after he is shot during a gas station robbery. You die at 82
