You stick out your thumb like you've seen in the movies, and try to get someone to stop. In a short amount of time, a pickup truck pulls off to the side of the highway next to you. An old man steps out and looks at you with a concerned expression. You introduce yourself, and ask if he can get you out of town. He looks suspicious, and asks where your parents are. You tell him you don't have any. A look of pity crosses over his face at those words, and he beckons you towards the pickup truck. As you get in, he reveals that he's traveling out of town to visit his daughter. He notices the state of your clothes, and asks if you want to live with his daughter in the countryside, who would be more than happy to take care of you.
