Trust Holly

Holly saved your life, you think. She could have easily let a zombie bite you outside the castle, or "accidentally" shot you with her crossbow. But she didn't. You are certainly an attractive young woman, and Holly doesn't seem to be jealous of you at all. Besides, she is extremely attractive. Way too pretty to flip out and get jealous. You decide to trust her.
"Ben, I trust Holly," you say simply. You lower your gun and put it back in its holster.
He shakes his head. "I still don't. But I'm not going to do anything stupid."
"I understand, Ben," says Holly. "I realize how this looks." She gently places her crossbow on a nearby table. "I'll leave this here for now."
"Holly, that's not necessary," you say.
"Marina, it is. Until I prove who really was Joe's partner in crime." She turns away from her weapon. "Now let's go find Jack."
The three of you begin making your way out of the room. A sixth sense makes you turn around. Annabelle has snuck into the room and is picking up the crossbow! You whip out your pistol and aim it at her. "Freeze!"
Holly and Ben whirl around. Holly's mouth drops open in shock. "Ana?! YOU?!"
Annabelle looks for a second like she's going to deny everything, but then scowls and glares. "Yes, it was me. I should have this castle to myself like a queen, not have to share it with all these fools!" She suddenly points the crossbow at you, but before she can loose the bolt, you have pulled the trigger and fired a single, perfectly aimed shot. Annabelle stands ramrod straight for a second, then falls over dead.
Holly goes over to her crossbow. "I trust that there will be no objections now?"
Ben hangs his head. "Sorry about not trusting you."
Holly smiles. "Don't mention it. I probably would have done the same in your place. But Marina, thanks for having the courage to trust me."
You smile in turn. "I just went with my gut instinct."
"And it was a very good one, Rina. Now let's go find my husband."
After explaining to the others what happened, the six of you become a close-knit group now that you all know you can trust one another. With Jack and Holly and Kevin and Lissette already coupled up, it's not long before you pair up romantically with Ben. Sure, he's a little weird, but he has a good heart, and he's kind of cute. Also, you like the gender role reversal of being stronger and better with weapons than him, and enjoy the role of being his protector.
The six of you grow to enjoy your new lives in the castle. You wonder occasionally when a rescue army will come. It could be tomorrow, or it could be your descendants a thousand years from now. But your gut instinct tells you that rescue WILL come.
