It was just another boring day in the laboratory when suddenly a brilliant discovery is made. Congratulations to you, scientist! You've just invented time travel. This is a very important discovery, both for you and the world. But just as you're getting ready to announce your success to your peers, and to everyone else, someone bursts through the door.
"Give me the time travel device, and maybe you'll live," says the someone. He's a flashy looking man, a bit rugged in the face, mildly attractive (but only aesthetically at first glance). He's got great hair, but he's carrying a gun, and it looks like he's ready to shoot you if you put up any sort of a fuss.
So you do the one thing you can do given the current situation.
You strap on your time travel device, and whisk yourself away.
