Is the arrival of this man just a strange coincidence or something more? You need to know for certain. As the other monks remain silent, you make your move.
"I will lead you there," you proclaim as you step forth.
This causes a reaction from the Abbot. "No, she is a mere peasant," he informs the knight. "This requires a more experienced hand."
"Let her speak," Ulric replies. He turns his focus towards you.
"I was raised near the marsh," you explain. "Until the plague struck, I often visited the land when I had the time." These aren't lies either: memories of marsh are entering your head. "I know the area better than any man."
"She has all the experience I require," the knight states. "We will leave at dawn." He turns and exits.
Once the knight leaves, Brother Mordred grabs your shoulder. A look of concern comes into his eyes. "Gwendolyne, that man is more dangerous than the pestilence itself," he warns you.
