"Your reign of terror is over," you say with a strange confidence that seems to come from nowhere.

The demon laughs. "You think that popgun can kill me? I am invincible. I will take your soul. And yours too, Eduardo, for being weak and failing me. Each soul I take makes me stronger..." A red glow appears from the demon's scarred hands. "There's no way out..."

"Yes, there is." You suddenly shoot Eduardo in the head, then shoot yourself. The demon screams in frustration at not being able to steal either of your souls for itself.

As it turns out, those two souls that the demon was unable to steal make it just weak enough that several decades later, scientists are able to invent a weapon that slays the demon and prevents it from taking over the world.
