You stay still until you no longer can hear your own thumping heart, and switch off the light.
Your jaw goes slack. It's beautiful!
The walls slowly come alive with luminescence. A ghostly light in hues of light blue and pale pink lights up the chamber, and all kinds of bugs and small critters outline themselves on the walls and floor, radiant with iridescence of themselves. The natural pool of water looks especially wonderful, with every ripple mirroring up into the roof.
At least the incandescence is good news for you - if the caves are full of this stuff, you won't have to fear running out of batteries for your light. In fact, you stow the flashlight as you can see perfectly well, once your eyes have adjusted.
You:
- Just pick a direction at random and press on
- Go over by the pool to drink your fill, to save on your precious German beer
- Can't resist checking the echo by screaming "Hello!"
