Sit still and quiet while Cynthia snuggles against you

You let your body relax as Cynthia lies against you. She gives you a soft smile, and you return it.
After a few minutes, she breaks the silence. "Thank you."
You look at her curiously. "For what?"
"For not trying to take advantage of me. Yesterday the guy I brought up here tried pawing at me as soon as he realized we were alone. I had to plant my knee in his balls a few times to discourage him from being a pig."
"Pigs are gentle, sensitive and intelligent animals," you reply. "You owe the porcine species an apology."
Cynthia's body shakes as she bursts into laughter. When she's able to speak again, she proclaims, "I hereby apologize to all members of the genus Sus for comparing them to the asshole who tried to assault me yesterday."
Now it's your turn to laugh. When you recover, you wrap Cynthia in your arms and lightly kiss her on the cheek.
Cynthia smiles. She disengages herself from your grasp and writes something on a slip of paper.
"My phone number," she says. "And I'd love to meet you for dinner tomorrow."

"I'd like that," you say. "Meet me outside the library at 5?"
Cynthia nods. "Sure!"
You hold her hand as you walk back to the food court, then go your separate ways.
The next day, you finish your classes, zip back to the dorm, work intensely on your studying and homework and finish at 4:48. A fast shower, some clean clothes, a swipe at your hair with a comb and you are ready. You arrive at the front of the library at 4:59:53, by your digital watch, and are delighted to see Cynthia approach from the other direction.
"Where to?"she asks. "I don't exactly expect the Ritz. We're both in college."
