Run forward to grab Sara

You sprint out and grab Sara's hand.
"Who the fuck?" say the five men simultaneously, then bring out a gun each.
You don't get three yards before being shot full of holes. You hear Sara make a small yelp as stray bullets catch her in the leg, in her side, and one in her arm.
"Damn, that was stupid," she grunts and stops running as you fall to the ground, paralyzed with shock and pain.
The last thing you hear is how the men set aside their differences and agree to rape the cute high-schooler as long as possible before she bleeds out.
Then you die.
