"I will take some bread and cheese."
You hand over your money, which she tests between her teeth before slipping into a pocket of her tunic. Then she wraps some provisions in a dirty-looking cloth and hands it to you, with something that is perhaps meant to be a curtsey.
"Good travels," she wishes, and you bow in return.
"And good luck to you." You leave the inn. You head out of Poonani and along the path into the Smutititty Hills.
Striding past the outlying huts, you send the villagers rushing indoors to hide. Then, at the edge of town, you pass a large boulder, and at once two rough-cut villagers spring out with swords drawn. Bandits.
"Two against one," the first declares. "You're lost!" calls the other. "So hand over your things, come on!"
