Or take the lift to the first floor
From Create Your Own Story
The elevator doors slide open with a soft chime. You step out onto the first floor, your shoes squeaking against the polished linoleum. Fluorescent lights hum overhead as you walk down the silent corridor—the only sound is the rhythmic tap of your footsteps echoing off the sterile walls.
You reach the principal’s office and rap your knuckles against the door. Wait. One minute passes. Nothing. You knock harder this time, and the door creaks open an inch from the force.
"Hello? Principal Lunt?" Your voice bounces off the empty office.
You push the door wider. The room smells like stale coffee and printer ink. The principal’s massive oak desk dominates the space, covered in messy stacks of papers, half-empty mugs, and a blinking computer monitor.
Your fingers close around the flash drive in your pocket. You place it carefully on the desk, then linger—eyes skimming over a scattered personnel file, a half-graded test, a sticky note with faded handwriting.
The office feels abandoned, but the coffee’s still warm.
