Obey Jessica's order and flee out a back exit

You flee out a secret rear exit with a few other civilians, including Brittany. Gary and Father Bennington are nowhere to be seen.

From below come gunshots, explosions, and other sounds of battle. You and the others do the only thing you can do. You wait.

Finally, a small group of five soldiers appears. You look at the leader, a sergeant. "Where are the others?"

"We're all that's left, ma'am."

You swallow hard. "And Jessica..."

"She heroically sacrificed herself by blowing herself up with a grenade in the middle of the largest group of vampires. After that, we survivors were able to finish off the rest."

Wiping a tear from your eye, you shake your head sadly. This group, once over a hundred strong, has been reduced to ten. Jessica, Gary, Father Bennington, all gone...

Brittany begins to cry. "What are we going to do now?"

You take her hand in yours. "We're going to fight," you say simply. You turn to address the whole group. "We have the knowledge about how to make the secret weapon. We'll find a new place. We'll make it better. And we'll make sure that our friends' sacrifices were not in vain."

Grieving over the loss of their comrades, but inspired by your speech, the group begins its retreat to the southwest, away from the front lines. You are filled with apprehension, but also with hope.
