Your heart pounds as they work their way around you. The boy is searching about twenty feet to the right. Suddenly he yells, "Goddamn bugs are more likely to kill me than the other students!" Now that he mentions it, the bugs are annoying... But you can ignore them. Your life depends on it. You notice that the girl will pass about five feet to your left in a few seconds, but you don't think she'll notice you. She is carrying a large knife with serrated teeth. The way she holds it indicates that she knows how to use it. You could try to disarm her or just wait until they pass.
