Before taking that nap, you decide to play the game for a short bit, just for fun. You start up the flash game "Hidden Utopias; Happy Hour Version". As you can tell by the title, they are two versions of this game. Hidden Utopias is the main game, filled with lots of story, characters, dialog (sober or drunk) and multiple endings, depending on how you played the game. It's a very good game to just sit down and play, when you have lots of free time and want to learn more about the character's stories and backgrounds. That's the safe one for you. Hidden Utopias; Happy Hour Version is the adult version of the same game. Same story, same characters, more crude and hilarious dialog, some new sexy scenes with the cast and two new endings. You like this one a lot more.
But as it shows you the title screen, you spot something in the top right corner. "Version 4.2, See updates for more details." New updates? Wait, does that mean... Oh no! Your old saved files! They won't work anymore, and now you have to start all the way back at Day 1. And you was so close to that new character ending! Damn! All that hard work gone, with nothing to show for it. You sigh, as you click on the update list to see what is new. "Anna is now fully completed. Please enjoy this new ghostly character, as she helps you with the bar. New route added for those who wish to see more of her story." Ghostly? As in a real ghost? Why would they put a ghost in a steampunk game? Ah, no time for questions. You need to start playing this game.
You set up your profile and start Day 1. Your Boss shows up, giving you all the tutorials that you can't skip, how to work the controls, serve drinks and change the music. Blah blah blah... You know how to play! You done this so many times! Just as he raps up, you see a strange girl on the wide screen TV in the background show up with lots of glitches around her. She is only there for a few seconds before she vanishes. Was that the ghost the updates was talking about before? What was her name? Anna something? Doesn't matter. You got to speed run this thing, so you can get what you played this game for!
Time passes by, both in and out of the game and your getting tired again. You served some drinks to people, picked the right dialog boxes to trigger the flags, and your so close to the first event. But your so tired... Got to save quickly... You think you saved your game? Not sure, your eyelids are getting too heavy. Just give yourself two minutes to rest... And you will get back right to it. You rest your head on your computer desk, and now your completely knocked out. But not for long...
