With the Goblin defeated, there is nothing to stop you moving further on into the mine.

Before you move on, you quickly scour the corners of the dark room, in case there is any gold or weapons lying around. Then something heavy catches you about the head and for a moment, your eyes seem to see in two different directions at once, before you hit the floor.
