Ignore it and pick up the pistol (Frost RE1)

It's probably the wind or a rabbit,you think and bend down to pick up the pistol. Suddenly something tackles you from behind and you fall over. It bites you in the shoulder but you manage to get it off you and you grab the pistol and shoot it in the head.

"Contact!" you shout to the team while more creatures come running out of the grass. You fire your pistol at them and manage to kill some of them but you soon run out of ammo and have to go back to your shotgun. The rest of the team soon joins you and soon the rest of the creatures are dead.

¨You ok?¨ Chris asks you and you only respond with a nod.

¨What were those things anyway¨ Jill asks and looks closer at one of the creatures who you (upon closer examination) see is some kind of dog.

¨It dosn't matter what they were. They are dead now anyway,¨ Wesker pointly says. ¨There can be more in the area. We can't stay here.¨

You and the rest of the team walk away from the clearing and soon come across an old seemingly abandoned mansion which you seek shelter in since you in the past ten minutes have heard the howlings of the monster dogs.
