Hide the corpse somewhere first

Somehow, you still feel like living, even after the horrible shit you have done. You drag the body out of your single-room apartment to the hallway. Nobody there - for now. You have to hurry. With the fabric of his denim jeans dragged across the concrete floor, you pulled on the two hands of the hippie as fast as can towards the stairway. In your hurry, you have his torso facing down onto the floor, leaving the entrails of some of the leftovers you were too rushed to dine on. They are bits and pieces of flesh anyway, so you give little concerns to them.
If you continue to carry this body around, you will bound to have somebody seeing you with it eventually. You need to get rid of it fast. The descending stairs are just right next to you. There's a gap between those steps and the steps that leap upwards. The gap leads all the way through to the ground-floor. The gap is about half a foot long, but you could try and squeeze the half-consumed body through it.
Or, you could always head for the lift lobby just a yard away from you. When a lift arrives, you could just throw the body in and hope for the lift to be summoned to another floor.
There is of course the option of you making sure the body is securely hidden in a place no one could find it. In this kind of insecure country, missing people are an everyday business. However, you are exhausted, and though the streets might be deserted, you fear the risk of being caught with blood all over your mouth and clothes.
