Get someone else to investigate

"Uhm uh... Someone should go investigate" you say to the group.
Two people shrug, then walk towards the source of the sound.
Five minutes pass.
They don't come back.
You decide to look down the hallway, and see an extremely pale face staring at you with an impossibly large smile.
You back up slowly, and tell everyone to run to the basement with you. You all make it down, then go to a window.
Your only option is to exit through the window. But that will take time.
You hear heavy footsteps come down the stairs.
And time is something you don't have right now.
