David leads you to an abandoned house. It's 1-story, 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom. "There's no electricity, but I've stashed a few flashlights in there. Also some jerky last week, and a few sleeping bags are in there."
"What about water?" asks Nick.
"I have two 24-packs of bottled water."
"What if we need to crap?" you ask.
"Then crap outside."
On that note, you all walk in. You can see easily with the flashlights. So you guys live there, going to school, until Sunday comes around. You have a nice pair of dress pants, a tie, a dress shirt, and dress shoes that you packed for today. When your two friends ask what you're doing, you explain that the pastor is a friend of you're family. "Be careful," Nick says. "We don't need you being shot by the gang."
At the beginning of the sermon, the pastor begins with prayer—for your family! "May they rest peacefully in your loving arms, Lord. In Jesus' name, Amen." Rest peacefully? What is he talking about?
