Enter the house through the front door

You slowly open the front door and step inside the house. Over the receiver, you hear Harvey say, “Front entrance. Bold move, bud. I hope you know what you’re doing.”
You hear some shuffling from inside the house. Looking towards your left, you see the living room. There isn’t much furniture in the room, just a television, a sofa, a dining table and chairs, and a coffee table. Nothing that your target could be hiding behind. Well, you think, this room is clear.
You peer around the corner and see the kitchen. Again, there is nothing in the kitchen but some counters and a wastebasket. Walking into the kitchen, you notice a cutting board with some diced tomatoes on it. The target must have been making a meal, you think to yourself. Has he already run away?
You feel a hand grab at your face and restrain you as you feel a cold blade rub against your neck. The cutting knife that he was using to cut the vegetables is being held against your neck. Your heart jumps out of your chest and you let out a muffled cry to alert Harvey of your trouble. The target hushes you and quietly says, “Now, now. Calm down. You don’t want to do anything stupid, do you? Now, let me have your weapons and we'll discuss this like gentlemen.”
You hear Harvey’s voice in your ear. “You better do what he says, man. This guy’s dangerous”
