Drive the jalopy to the desert

"Let's go to the desert," you say. "There shouldn't be that many zombies there."
Annabelle nods in agreement. She gets behind the wheel. You ride shotgun almost literally with your crossbow and pistol.
When you get over the mountains and into the desert, Annabelle stops the car at a lonely intersection. "Should we head for that town over there, or just go out into the wilderness?"
