You climb into the cab, stretching your right leg over and lowering it next to your mum's right leg, quickly followed by the left leg, which you place between Julianne's legs. You attempt to pull the seat belt around you and lock it, but this is impossible. The squirming crumples the skirt of your dress even more, but before you can adjust it, the driver accelerates the car. You are pushed back and involuntary clamp your legs together.
You pass the buckle back to your mum. It may be against traffic regulations, but it is way more practical that only Julianne belts up. Your mum firmly puts her arms around your waist to support you during the drive. You put your righ hand on hers. Where do you place your other hand?
