You turn over what Brooke said in your mind. Maybe you should try living life differently.

Suddenly, a film crew with a giant TV camera are in front of you and an interviewer is sticking a microphone in your face.

"The winner of the first Battle Royale, Zeke Davidson!" booms the interviewer. "How did you do it?"

You shrug your shoulders. "I got lucky that people got scared off after I seized the lighthouse. Everyone else killed each other off, so all I had to do was face Brooke."

"What was your strategy for that final fight?"

"Sit back, wait for her to make a move, and counter it."

"What do you plan to do now?"

"Transform my life. I'm tired of being an angry loner. Maybe having friends will be cool."

"And there you have it!" says the announcer. "Tune in next year at a new location for the second Battle Royale!"

The crew and interviewer vanish, and a tall man appears dressed in a suit. "I'm the sponsor. Here's your $200,000 check, and congratulations. Now let's get you home."

Making friends in high school is almost impossible, because of your previous reputation. But when you go off to college and start fresh, you do turn over a new leaf. And you even have $40,000 left afterwards to get you off to a good start in post-collegiate life.
